This summer, our Local Engagement Board meeting will have the feel of a summer fete, with stalls and kids’ activities.
On Wednesday 28 August from 1-3pm, South Tyneside CCG will welcome all residents to be part of a fun event focused on health, wellbeing, and future plans for healthcare locally.
Held in a marquee by the Lord Nelson pub in Monkton Village, the event will offer something for all. There will be around 30 stalls with all sorts of local organisations including the Stroke Association, Healthwatch, the Alzheimer’s Society and Change 4 Life.
Visitors aged 40-70 will be invited to have an NHS health check, and anyone can choose to have a diabetes health check. It’s also a chance to catch up on plans for the Path to Excellence programme, urgent care, long-term conditions, and end of life care services.
There will be the chance to look inside an ambulance. Food will be available, including a healthy salad lunch, tea and coffee. Entry is free.
